Advancing medicine through research, education and community care.
HERS is a Gurugram-based society dedicated to advancing clinical and translational research, with a special focus on diabetes, endocrinology and associated conditions.
"Advancing through Research"
Four pillars of our work
HERS works across four interconnected areas to strengthen medical knowledge, practice and public health in India.
Medical Research
Basic, translational and clinical research with global collaborators.
Training
Capacity building for physicians, DM/DNB candidates and care givers.
Community Programs
Outreach campaigns for prevention and education on chronic disease.
Institutional Collaboration
Partnerships with hospitals and medical institutes across India and abroad.
To promote education and research in medical fields by providing adequate resources to researchers and care givers.
To integrate and collaborate with champions of international quality standards to improve the quality of medical research in India.
To work as a liaison between the public and academicians, reducing gaps through structured programmes.
Diabetes, endocrinology and associated conditions
HERS places special emphasis on diabetes and associated conditions such as fatty liver disease. We conduct basic, translational and clinical research on endocrinological issues in collaboration with global centres.
Our work also supports training of out-going DM/DNB candidates and dissemination of new advances to practising physicians through seminars and peer-reviewed publications.
